This is Awesome. I was into comics a little bit as a teen, and I've read some graphic novels over the last couple of years and I love that this is going to be a weekly column. Just so you know, I've spent the last hour going through all the links in your review. It's fun shit.

Sweet! Yeah, now's an excellent time to get back into Marvel, because Civil War really changed the whole landscape of how Super-powered beings are perceived, especially in a post-9/11 world.

We all know what <i>really<i> happens when buildings come crashing down, and it isn't all rose petals and ticker-tape when the bad guy is knocked out.

Also, a good follow-up to Civil War is The Avengers: The Initiative. The government program to train and license young super-beings. Check it out

I really liked Civil War, too, when it was printed in 1987 and called Watchmen. Honestly, the beginning and ending are kind of blatantly ripped off.

(By the way, the ending to Watchmen is possibly based on this funny tidbit: http://youtube.com/watch?v=Ag44dRO8LEA)
